Objective of the Radiation Protection in Medicine Week
- At this event we will launch the campaign “Call to Action in Medical Radiation Protection” Together for Safety! United for Radiation Protection: Protect Your Health and That of Your Patients!
- This Inovensa initiative is for us to serve the “Vancouver Call to Action to Strengthen Radiation Protection Expertise Worldwide”, conducted in 2022 by the International Commission on Radiological Protection (ICRP).
- Since we believe this protection will only occur if it is shared, we launched this campaign and hope that, united by radiation protection and with your help, we can all together be the difference the world needs.
Who can participate in this event?
- Qualified health professionals (medicine, nursing, radiology, biomedicine, among others who may at some point in their careers work in diagnostic and interventional radiology sectors) will need this knowledge.
- Patients and the general public who have questions, curiosity, and/or concerns about the topic.
Dosimetry companies, radiometry companies, personal protective equipment providers, radiological equipment providers, radionuclides, radioactive waste, nuclear medicine, hospital units with radiological segments, among others, whether private or governmental. Everyone is invited to participate in the event and join us at Inovensa in this act in favor of health.

Inovensa's “Call to Action in Radiation Protection” initiative is a social project aimed at promoting knowledge to improve radiological safety in medicine at all levels of society. Medical, radiology, and nursing professionals, other healthcare workers, and the general public, as well as hospitals, clinics, companies, and industries operating in the diagnostic radiology, interventional radiology, and radiation protection sectors, are invited to participate in this campaign, whose main concern is to raise awareness about the risks associated with radiation exposure and the protection measures that can be adopted to mitigate these risks.
At Inovensa, we believe that radiation protection is essential to ensuring the health and safety of everyone who works with or is exposed to ionizing radiation. Our goal is to disseminate knowledge and safe radiation protection practices, ensuring that everyone is well-informed and empowered to act safely and responsibly.
This campaign is our contribution to society, seeking to educate and raise awareness about the importance of radiation protection. Through informative videos, educational materials, and the engagement of various professionals and the public, we want to create a solid culture of radiological safety. We believe that by promoting radiation protection, we are protecting lives and contributing to a safer environment for everyone.
We count on everyone's participation and support to make this campaign a success, as radiological safety is a shared responsibility. Together, we can make a difference and ensure that best radiation protection practices are adopted in all areas that deal with radiation.

- Radiation Protection AwarenessPromote knowledge and education on the importance of radiation protection, increasing awareness of radiation risks and protective measures.
Training for Safe PracticesOffer training and resources to empower professionals in safe radiation protection practices, enhancing radiological safety in medicine.
Development of Radiation Safety CultureCreate and strengthen a strong radiation safety culture, encouraging the adoption of effective protective measures.
Mobilization and EngagementEngage and mobilize professionals in the implementation of and adherence to radiation protection measures, promoting a safer and more conscious medical environment.
